Camping on Lake Lanier is more than “heaven on earth.”  It’s also a bit of heaven on the lovely shores of one of America’s most popular lakes.  Lake Lanier is a great place to rest, whether in a cabin, RV or tent.

Camping doesn’t have to be “roughing it.”  You don’t have to get dirty, build a fire or fight ravenous bears.  All you have to do is spend a night or two at one of the stunningly beautiful sites on Lake Lanier — any way you would like.  Even campsites that are labeled as “primitive” are cozy with nearby restrooms.

Sites for camping of all sorts are all around the lake.  You won’t have to look far to find just what you’re looking for.

There are 12 campgrounds around the lake offering everything from new and nicely maintained lakeside cabins in Don Carter State Park to primitive, back-to-nature campsites in Toto Creek.
